APC NetShelter AP4421A Rack Automatic Transfer Switch
The APC NetShelter AP4421A Rack Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is a high-availability power distribution solution designed to provide redundant power protection for single-corded servers, storage devices, network switches, and other rack-mounted equipment. By automatically transferring connected loads between independent power sources, the ATS helps maintain uptime during power interruptions or source failures.
Designed in a compact 1U rack-mount form factor, the AP4421A supports a rated current of 10A and a maximum load capacity of 2000VA. The unit features dual IEC C14 input connections that allow connection to separate power feeds, UPS systems, or utility sources, providing an additional layer of resilience for critical infrastructure.
Equipped with 12 IEC C13 output receptacles, the ATS distributes power to connected devices while continuously monitoring source availability. In the event of a primary power source failure, the unit automatically transfers the load to the alternate source with minimal disruption to equipment operation.
The fifth-generation NetShelter ATS platform incorporates the APC Network Management Card 3 (NMC3), delivering enhanced security, remote administration, environmental monitoring capabilities, and advanced networking features such as network port sharing.
