The APC Easy UPS 3L 500kVA 400V 3:3 UPS (E3LUPS500KHS) is a high-capacity three-phase online UPS designed to provide dependable power protection and business continuity for data centers, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, telecommunications infrastructure, and other mission-critical applications. With a rated capacity of 500kVA / 500kW, it is designed for large-scale installations requiring reliable three-phase power protection.

The E3LUPS500KHS operates in a 3:3 three-phase configuration with a nominal 400V input and output. The Easy UPS 3L platform also supports 380V and 415V configurations, providing flexibility for different electrical infrastructures. The UPS uses double-conversion online technology to continuously regulate and condition incoming power.

The UPS supports an input voltage range of 323V to 477V at full load and an input frequency range of 40–70Hz. At 400V, the nominal input current is 768A, while the maximum input current is 899A. Input power factor is greater than 0.99, while input harmonic distortion is specified at less than 3% for linear loads and less than 5% for non-linear loads.

The E3LUPS500KHS uses an external battery system and supports 36–50 battery blocks. The nominal battery voltage can range from ±216V to ±300V DC, while the maximum battery charging power is 108kW. This external-battery architecture allows the required battery capacity and runtime to be configured according to the installation requirements.

The UPS includes 5×8 startup service and supports Smart Test mode, helping simplify commissioning and startup. The Easy UPS 3L platform is designed to support scalable and redundant power configurations for installations where availability and serviceability are important.

Output performance includes ±1% output voltage regulation, an output power factor of 1, and output harmonic distortion below 2% with 100% linear loads and below 4% with 100% non-linear loads. The UPS supports 105% continuous overload, 125% overload for 10 minutes and 150% overload for 1 minute.

The Easy UPS 3L also supports ECO mode for improved operating efficiency. At 400V and 50Hz with a linear load and output power factor of 1, the 500kVA model achieves approximately 95.45% efficiency at 50% load in normal mode and up to approximately 99.35% efficiency at 75% load in ECO mode.

For demanding data-center and industrial environments, the system provides IP20 protection with a standard dust filter and an audible noise level of less than 72dBA at 100% load.
