The APC Smart-UPS SMT1500RMI1U is an intelligent line-interactive UPS engineered to provide reliable power protection and advanced management capabilities for business-critical IT infrastructure. Designed for IT professionals and network administrators, it helps maintain system uptime and operational continuity by protecting connected equipment against power outages, voltage fluctuations, lightning strikes, brownouts, and surges.

With a power capacity of 1500VA, the UPS delivers pure sine wave output suitable for sensitive electronic equipment including servers, storage systems, networking devices, communication platforms, and edge computing environments. Its compact 1U rackmount form factor makes it particularly well suited for deployments where rack space is limited.

The integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) technology automatically corrects low and high voltage conditions without drawing power from the battery, helping extend battery life while ensuring connected equipment receives stable and reliable power.

An integrated SmartSlot allows installation of an optional Network Management Card, enabling advanced network management functionality and compatibility with APC PowerChute Network Shutdown software. This capability supports graceful shutdown of physical servers, virtual machines, and hyperconverged infrastructure clusters during extended power events. The UPS can also integrate with EcoStruxure IT and third-party centralized management platforms for centralized monitoring and management.

The SMT1500RMI1U is equipped with an IEC 320 C14 input connection and four IEC 320 C13 outlets for powering connected equipment. Two IEC jumper cables are included to simplify installation. A front-panel LCD interface provides real-time information on load conditions, battery status, operating modes, and configuration settings, enabling convenient local monitoring and management.

The UPS incorporates a built-in sealed lead-acid battery and is compatible with a dedicated APC user-replaceable battery cartridge, allowing users to restore UPS performance to original specifications when battery replacement is required. The UPS is backed by a 3-year warranty, while the internal battery is covered by a 2-year warranty, providing dependable long-term protection for critical business systems.
