The APC Smart-UPS SMT1000RMI2UC is an intelligent line-interactive UPS engineered to deliver reliable power protection and advanced management capabilities for rack-mounted IT infrastructure. Designed for IT professionals and network administrators, it helps maintain system uptime and business continuity by protecting connected equipment from power outages, voltage fluctuations, surges, and other electrical disturbances.
With a power capacity of 1000VA, the UPS provides pure sine wave output, making it ideal for sensitive electronic equipment such as servers, network switches, storage appliances, and communication systems. Its compact 2U rackmount design allows efficient integration into standard equipment racks while conserving valuable rack space.
The integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) technology automatically corrects voltage sags and overvoltages without using battery power, helping extend battery lifespan while ensuring stable output voltage for connected devices.
The UPS includes a SmartConnect port for secure cloud-based remote monitoring and management. Users can remotely monitor UPS status, perform firmware upgrades, access diagnostics, and receive proactive email notifications with recommended actions, enabling simplified maintenance and improved operational visibility.
An integrated SmartSlot provides expansion capability for an optional Network Management Card, allowing advanced network-based management and support for APC PowerChute Network Shutdown. This enables graceful shutdown of physical servers, virtual machines, and hyperconverged infrastructure clusters during extended power events. The UPS can also integrate with EcoStruxure IT and third-party centralized management platforms for enhanced monitoring and control.
The SMT1000RMI2UC is equipped with an IEC 320 C14 input connection, four IEC 320 C13 output receptacles, and includes two IEC jumper cables for convenient installation of connected equipment. A front-panel LCD interface offers clear visibility into load conditions, battery health, operating status, and configuration settings for straightforward local management.
The UPS includes a built-in sealed lead-acid battery and is compatible with a dedicated user-replaceable APC Replacement Battery Cartridge, enabling users to restore UPS performance to original specifications when battery replacement becomes necessary. The UPS is backed by a 3-year warranty, while the internal battery carries a 2-year warranty for additional peace of mind.
