APC Smart-UPS SMT1000IC 1000VA Tower UPS with SmartConnect and SmartSlot
The APC Smart-UPS SMT1000IC is an intelligent line-interactive UPS engineered to provide reliable power protection and advanced management capabilities for critical IT infrastructure. Designed for IT professionals and network administrators, it helps maintain system availability and business continuity by protecting connected equipment from power outages, voltage fluctuations, surges, and other electrical disturbances.
With a power capacity of 1000VA, the UPS delivers pure sine wave output, making it suitable for sensitive electronic equipment including servers, networking devices, storage systems, and communication hardware. Its integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) automatically corrects voltage sags and overvoltages without relying on battery power, helping preserve battery life while maintaining stable output.
The SMT1000IC features a SmartConnect port that enables secure cloud-based remote monitoring and management. Users can remotely monitor UPS status, perform firmware upgrades, access diagnostics, and receive proactive email notifications with recommended actions to help simplify maintenance and reduce downtime risks.
An integrated SmartSlot allows the installation of an optional Network Management Card, enabling advanced network management capabilities and support for APC PowerChute Network Shutdown. This facilitates graceful shutdown of physical servers, virtual machines, and hyperconverged infrastructure clusters during extended power events. The UPS also integrates with EcoStruxure IT and third-party centralized management platforms for enhanced visibility and control.
The unit is equipped with an IEC 320 C14 input connection, eight IEC 320 C13 output receptacles, and includes two IEC jumper cables for convenient equipment connectivity. A front-panel LCD display provides clear visibility into load levels, battery status, operating conditions, and configuration settings, enabling straightforward local management.
The SMT1000IC includes a built-in sealed lead-acid battery and is compatible with dedicated user-replaceable APC Replacement Battery Cartridges, allowing users to restore UPS performance to original specifications when battery replacement becomes necessary. The UPS is backed by a 3-year warranty, while the internal battery is covered by a 2-year warranty for additional peace of mind.
