APC Smart-UPS SMC1500IC 1500VA Tower UPS with SmartConnect
The APC Smart-UPS SMC1500IC is an intelligent line-interactive UPS designed to provide reliable power protection for business-critical equipment in small offices, retail environments, and edge computing applications. As part of the APC Smart-UPS family, it combines efficient power conditioning with advanced monitoring capabilities to help maintain system availability during utility outages, voltage fluctuations, and other power disturbances.
With a power capacity of 1500VA and 900W, the UPS delivers pure sine wave output, making it suitable for sensitive electronic devices such as entry-level servers, network switches, storage systems, VoIP equipment, point-of-sale terminals, and business workstations. Its tower form factor allows convenient installation in environments where rack-mounted equipment is not required.
The integrated SmartConnect port enables secure cloud-based remote monitoring and management, allowing users to access UPS status information, receive email notifications with recommended actions, perform firmware upgrades, and utilize remote diagnostic tools. These capabilities enhance operational visibility and simplify ongoing UPS maintenance.
The SMC1500IC includes APC PowerChute Business Edition software, which supports unattended shutdown of connected servers and workstations through USB or serial communication. This functionality helps prevent data loss and ensures orderly shutdown and recovery processes during prolonged power interruptions.
Equipped with an IEC 320 C14 input, eight IEC 320 C13 outlets, and two IEC jumper cables, the UPS provides flexible connectivity options for multiple connected devices. The integrated sealed lead-acid battery offers dependable backup power and is covered by a 2-year UPS warranty for added peace of mind.
