APC Easy Rack ER8222
The APC Easy Rack ER8222 is an EIA-310 compliant rack enclosure engineered for modern data center, networking, and converged infrastructure deployments. Combining a spacious design with integrated cable management and cooling features, it offers a practical and scalable solution for supporting high-density IT environments.
With a height of 42U, a width of 800mm, and an extended depth of 1200mm, the ER8222 provides sufficient space to accommodate even the deepest servers, storage systems, and vertically mounted accessories. The enclosure features ventilated front and rear doors with 81% perforation, promoting efficient airflow to help maintain optimal operating temperatures for installed equipment. It supports static loads of up to 1200kg and dynamic loads of up to 600kg.
The enclosure is supplied with a roof, side panels, keys, levelling feet, castors, mounting hardware, and four PDU mounting brackets, while omitting a bottom panel to provide greater flexibility for cable entry and infrastructure customization. Its wide 800mm design creates additional room for cable routing and simplifies cable management in dense server and networking applications.
Designed for deployment flexibility, the ER8222 ships fully assembled for rapid installation but can also be supplied unassembled for easier transportation, storage, or movement through restricted spaces. A multifunctional roof supports cable management and proper airflow, while rear accessory brackets allow compatible accessories to be installed without tools.
The enclosure also incorporates integrated vertical 1U mounting spaces adjacent to the standard EIA-310 mounting rails. These sections can be removed and replaced with compatible 1U accessories, enabling further customization and improved rack organization. Compatible with APC Easy Rack cooling solutions, cable management accessories, and Easy Rack PDUs, the ER8222 delivers a comprehensive and adaptable platform for growing IT infrastructures.
